Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why choose Progress Valley? What’s it like? Answer
Progress Valley staff is dedicated to helping addicts and alcoholics learn living and recovery skills. We have two gender-specific residential programs, outpatient services, and sober housing. We incorporate 12 Step philosophies in conjunction with evidence-based practice, while encouraging individual leadership, personal responsibility and accountability.
The residential facilities, located in safe, comfortable neighborhoods, have a capacity of 24 clients. They are shared rooms/apartments and offer easy access to local transportation for maintaining employment or attending school. Clients participate in a variety of comprehensive treatment services (groups, lectures, individual sessions, recreational activities) typically between 15 and 30 hours per week (evening, weekends, and some daytime). In working with staff and with peers, clients begin the process of working with others to develop strong, positive, sober relationships.

Q: How is my stay funded? Answer
Programming costs are often funded through the State of Minnesota Chemical Dependency Consolidated funding or through insurance. The Consolidated Treatment Fund is available to eligible Minnesota residents. In order to access this treatment fund, Minnesota residents need to contact the social service department of their county to schedule an assessment. The county assessor will discuss appropriate programming referrals during the assessment process. Progress Valley is authorized to provide assessments to eligible Hennepin County residents.
In addition, we receive payment through private pay—please contact Intake staff for additional information.Collapse Answer
