Andrea is passionate about helping clients cope with trauma, depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues. She aims to help clients gain insight into their challenges and find positive ways to overcome them.
She creates a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental environment. Andrea values cultural diversity and advocates for access to resources that support the well-being of her clients. Aligned with Adlerian therapy, she focuses on social connections and the sense of belonging while also using CBT, mindfulness, person-centered, existential, and narrative therapies as needed.
Andrea is an Ecuadorian who offers counseling in Spanish and has a deep understanding of Latino culture. Her interest in counseling began while volunteering in a men’s jail, where she interacted with inmates who experienced trauma. Andrea received her bachelor’s degree in school counseling and is currently studying for a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling at Adler Graduate School.
