Ian has worked at a counselor for the past 1-1/2 years and has worked in the recovery field for the past 5 years in different capacities. He currently has an associates degree in Addiction Counseling and is working on obtaining his bachelor’s degree and will become a LADC. Ian was inspired to pursue a career in the recovery field after beginning his personal recovery journey. He has always been interested in psychology but could not identify a specific direction to take until he got sober and began working a CD Tech in an an outpatient treatment program. Ever since his first job in the field, he has found the work be extremely rewarding and finds it inspiring to see people make progress. He is grateful for the chance to be part of and helpful in others recovery process as so many were for him.
In his free time, Ian enjoys staying active and will play almost any sport but particularly enjoys basketball, volleyball, snowboarding and disc golf. People may be surprised to learn that Ian is part of group of unicyclists, participating in various events and shows throughout the year.
