Karen is currently finishing her bachelor’s degree in Alcohol and Drug Counseling at Metropolitan State University. She has been working as a counselor for 3 years and believes she works well with all populations. She approaches client care with honesty, respect and dignity for every individual. Karen finds building rapport and helping people are the rewarding parts of her career choice. She came to work in this field after watching families struggle with addiction.

Outside of work, she likes to play with her dog, hike, and play pickle ball. One interesting thing she used to do for a living was driving long haul tractor trailer trucks for a Minnesota trucking company.
