Samuel Montgomery

Mental Health Intern - PV2 Bloomington

Samuel approaches therapy from an Adlerian, Person Centered Therapy (PCT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Gestalt lenses. Samuel reports he has always been interested in counseling since a young age. In his previous career in web development of 10+ years, he always has found the client and human side of web development to be the most rewarding, which over time has inspired him to pursue a career of becoming a clinical counselor. Samuel has a clinical focus in the areas of grief/loss, trauma informed care (TIC), anxiety, and clients with disabilities. He plans to specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Gestalt, and EMDR. Samuel is excited to see his clients become the best versions of themselves by exploring how counseling and understanding mental health can benefit them, their loved ones, family and community.
