Todd’s approach to therapy is to connect with and understand his clients with compassion and empathy. He humbly understands that the client is the expert of their own life experience, and he is merely a guide on their therapeutic journey. Todd uses a combination of Adlerian, client-centered, attachment, and polyvagal theories to inform his therapeutic approach. Todd shares that his desire is to encounter his clients with an understanding heart, rather than a judgmental mind. He identifies as a lifelong learner and has had many unique roles and experiences that help him relate to and empathize with a wide range of people.
Todd’s specialty areas include personal growth, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, mid-life crises, career, life transitions, pre-marriage counseling, struggles with health conditions, supporting those with disabilities, spiritual growth/questions, and existential angst.
Todd is currently pursuing a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling. Additionally, he has worked as a health coach and is certified as an FDN-P (Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner), which has given him the knowledge to address lifestyle factors such as diet, sleep, exercise, stress reduction, and supplementation.
