Amanda is a Licensed Practical Nurse with nearly 10 years of experience in high-intensity residential settings, intensive outpatient care with lodging, and outpatient clients residing in sober housing. She graduated from DCTC with a degree in Practical Nursing, which has allowed her to pursue her passion for working with individuals in these environments. Amanda believes everyone deserves a chance, whether it’s their second or fiftieth.
Initially, Amanda attended Metropolitan State University to study criminal justice with the goal of becoming a law enforcement officer. However, during her time working at a residential treatment center, she realized her career path was taking a different direction. She has since worked as a Trained Medication Assistant (TMA), Licensed Practical Nurse, and Nurse Manager in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) facilities.
