Amari Rivers, MSW LGSW

Mental Health Therapist • She/Her/Hers

I began working in the substance use field when I was 20 years old, and from there, I knew that it was a
field that I wanted to work in as a mental health professional. I may be young, but my experience has ranged from working as a recovery specialist to now as an MHP over the span of 6 years, and I’m looking forward to working with anyone who wants support along their journey. I have my bachelor’s in psychology and my master’s in social work. I’m currently working towards becoming a licensed independent clinical social worker.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, along with reading, painting, and
listening to music. One of my favorite things to do when I’m stressed or overwhelmed is to take a drive and listen to whatever music fits my mood. I’m also a cat person; I have three cats who are very sweet and
chaotic at times.
