Kayla is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor currently under supervision for her LPCC in Minnesota. She believes that meaningful change begins with feeling seen, heard, and understood. Her goal is to create a space where clients feel safe to show up as they are, explore their experiences without judgment, and begin moving toward a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
Kayla’s approach to therapy is person-centered, collaborative, and trauma-informed, drawing from evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and narrative therapy. She recognizes that every individual brings a unique story, set of strengths, and understanding of the world.
Kayla has a vast experience supporting adolescents and adults navigating substance use, co-occurring mental health concerns, grief, and complex life circumstances. She is passionate about helping individuals make sense of their experiences, reconnect with themselves, and recognize that their past does not have to define their future. She works with individuals from all walks of life, particularly those with addictions, brain injuries, grief, and trauma.
Kayla can be found training for marathons, with her nose in a book, or spending time with her dog, Rainey, and turtle, Ivy.
