Marian Spiess, MA, LPCC, LADC

Senior Director of Clinical Services

Marian Spiess, MA, LPCC, LADC, is a dually licensed clinician with experience in community-based mental
health care, co-occurring treatment services, and adolescent autism services. She brings a blend of
clinical expertise and leadership experience, and she enjoys helping build systems that improve outcomes
for clients while supporting strong, sustainable clinical programs.

Marian has a special interest in
policy development, program standardization, and process improvement, and she is passionate about
strengthening clinical standards that enhance quality of care, support compliance, and promote effective
organizations. Her work is guided by a commitment to ethical practice, collaboration, innovation, and
continuous improvement within behavioral health systems.


Outside of work, Marian enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and attending sporting events.
She’s also a foodie who loves to cook, bake, and explore new restaurants.

Founded in 1972, Progress Valley is a Minneapolis-St. Paul area-based nonprofit provider of services for people with emotional and mental health challenges and/or substance use issues related to drugs or alcohol. Community members can find therapy and mental health counseling at our Bloomington Mental Health Clinic. Clients from all over Minnesota and the nation can find help with substance use challenges with us as well.
