Matt received his bachelor’s degree at Metropolitan State University and currently is an outpatient counselor at Progress Valley. When working with clients, he likes to meet them where they are at providing a client-centered approach and helps them reach the goals they have set for their own recovery. Matt finds it rewarding to see people come in at a time in their life where their struggles are high and help them achieve milestones and reach new heights in their life they would not otherwise think possible if it weren’t for sobriety. Matt’s inspiration for this job comes from personal experience and wanting to make the world a better place by helping others anyway he can.
In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife, his three cats Gus Gus, Goose and Finnegan. He also plays hockey, video games and enjoys watching and reading Marvel comics.
