Michaela Haraldson

Michaela earned her bachelor’s degree in Alcohol and Drug Studies and Social Work from Minnesota State University–Mankato. She has experience working with both adolescents and adults across residential and outpatient treatment settings. Michaela joined Progress Valley in 2022 as the Central Access Manager, where she led the development of a streamlined, centralized admissions model that improved accessibility and coordination of care.


Throughout her time at Progress Valley, Michaela has also played a key role in the organization’s outreach and marketing efforts. In 2025, she transitioned into the role of Director of Advancement, where she now oversees communications, marketing, outreach, and events—strengthening PV’s community presence and supporting mission‑driven initiatives.


Outside of work, Michaela enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and being with her husband, friends, family, and her British red lab, Nellie.

Founded in 1972, Progress Valley is a Minneapolis-St. Paul area-based nonprofit provider of services for people with emotional and mental health challenges and/or substance use issues related to drugs or alcohol. Community members can find therapy and mental health counseling at our Bloomington Mental Health Clinic. Clients from all over Minnesota and the nation can find help with substance use challenges with us as well.
